Tentative Schedule
by CaranAlice on Feb.11, 2012, under Pleasures, Welcome
For those of you that are wondering – yes, we do have a working version of the schedule available.
Performers in red are unconfirmed – and please note that, as is the nature of the convention, everything is subject to change at the last minute. With that in mind, go forth and peruse the schedule!
ATTENTION DOUBLE TREE GUESTS!
by stephanie on Feb.05, 2012, under Welcome
For those of you staying at the Double Tree Hotel for the event, there will be a lot of festivities and fun but that can lead to quite a bit of noise. For those of you that have a preference, please contact us with whether or not you would prefer a quiet or loud floor. We will try to accommodate everyone as best we can, our emphasis here on try. The earlier you contact with your preference the faster we can try to accommodate your requests. Please e-mail us with your name and whether you’d prefer a quiet or loud floor to wickedhotel@gmail.com.
Kosher Delights from Glatt 27
by stephanie on Feb.02, 2012, under Pleasures, Welcome
As much as we all enjoy our Halloween treats, we all can’t survive off candy alone. Because of this Glatt 27 was kind enough to supply us with some delicious pre-made meals fresh from their deli section. Glatt 27 is one of the finest Kosher deli and grocer in southwest New Jersey. They will be supplying meals for purchase on both Saturday and Sunday as well as a Shabbat dinner availible for purchase on Friday night. So be sure to take advantage of this wonderful option, your stomachs will be thankful for it.
Meals for Saturday and Sunday will cost $20 each. Shabbat dinners will cost $15 each. Each dinner comes with enough food to feed at least two people.
To order yours, please contact Jesse at j.breitbart@temple.edu.

Echoes of Empire
If you were at The Geeky Kink Event, perhaps you are familiar with the awesome Alternate Reality Game/ARG created by Echoes of Empire.
Echoes of Empire will be running the Wicked Faire game room, so please stop by and join in the fun! They’re also cooking up another awesome ARG specifically for WF VII – the more you have fun with the element of Halloween, the more points you can score. Stay tuned for more details!

Wicked Faire VII Performer Application
Here is the standard application for all “traditional” performances, as well as wandering performers, or other activities you would like to officially incorporate into the Wicked Faire itinerary.
Please note: We compensate our performers, in general, with food, fun, free tickets, generous tips, and eternal love.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email wickedperformers@gmail.com. Although we welcome performer emails, please understand that we receive quite a lot of them and we may not be able to understand immediately.

Jeff Mach’s Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire VIII: “The Revenge Of The Renaissance Faire” will take place at the Doubletree of Somerset, New Jersey on the weekend of February 15-17th, 2013. Join us! Join us!
In the meantime, if you enjoyed The Wicked Faire, you will almost certainly love The Steampunk World’s Fair, the world’s largest Steampunk event.
The Steampunk World’s Fair is possibly the most fun, friendly, eclectic Steampunk out there - you don’t have to be a “serious Steampunk” to go; we’re dedicated to using Steampunk creativity to show a good time to everyone. If you enjoy Wicked Faire, than you will feel at home at this event. Check it out! New performers and attractions added weekly (or more often!)
The Steampunk World’s Fair is in Piscataway, New Jersey (about 7 minutes from where Wicked Faire was) at The Radisson of Piscataway and The Embassy Suites of Piscataway; our overflow hotel is The Holiday Inn of Somerset. It’s May 18-20th, 2012. Visit www.SteampunkWorldsFair.com for more!
_________
And last year’s Wicked Faire:
“–but we already DO a lot of Halloween. And many of us use the theme of each year’s Wicked to do something creative. Do you want us just to do whatever we did last October?”
Not at all. Let me tell you what’s going on:
So last year, we revealed the truth about Wicked. We revealed that Wicked Faire claims you should come because we provide more entertainment, more amazing and eclectic entertainment, more sheer fun and good times than any other event even remotely in this scale and price range–but in reality, you should actually go to Wicked Faire because it is the single greatest home we’ve found for weird or unusual people of any sort.
For many of us–I suspect almost all of us, in one way or another–Halloween was “our” Holiday. For a lot of us it was the first day we could really claim as our own, maybe even more than our birthdays. For a lot of us, it was the first space we found in the “normal” world which welcomed us home.
This year’s Wicked Faire is nothing less than a gigantic thank-you to Halloween itself–a huge tribute to all of the things that make the day special to us. This year, we invite all of you to come, with all of your friends (and hell, some of your enemies, if you want), and celebrate that place, the wonder and thrill and glorious brilliant midnight which is All Hallows Eve. We’re going to use all the resources of Wicked Faire to throw the best damn Halloween Party that February has ever seen.
Wicked Faire Halloween: Welcome Home.
Very truly yours,
Jeff Mach
